How to Write a Cold Email That Gets a Reply in the GCC Market

May 18, 2026 · 7 min read

Cold email reply rates average under 3% — but these 5 techniques push it above 20% with prospects in the GCC market.

1. The first line is everything

Most people open emails for three reasons: sender name, subject line, and the preview text visible in the inbox. Make your first line personally striking:

❌ "I would like to introduce our leading product in the field of..."

✅ "I noticed your company recently expanded to Riyadh and Dammam — HR teams at companies this size typically struggle with..."

2. Short emails always win

3-4 sentences only. No introductions, no company history, no feature lists. The only goal of the email is to get a reply or schedule a meeting — not to close the deal.

3. One question at the end

Don't give multiple options or ask for more than one thing. The ideal question:

"Would you be open to exploring this further? I can send a short overview or arrange a 15-minute call."

4. Timing matters a lot

In the Saudi and GCC market: best sending days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday, between 8-10am or 2-4pm (right after lunch). Avoid public holidays and pre-holiday periods.

5. Follow-up is the secret

80% of deals close after at least 5 touchpoints. Send 3 follow-up messages (3-5 days apart) before stopping. The second and third messages typically get more replies than the first.
